On Saturday, June 25, the Women's Social Club entertained the Wabigoon very tha game "married men vs. single." The married men won, as they always do, by a score of 18--16. At a dance: held in the evening a record crowd attended, bigger than has been seen in Wabigoon since the old days. Four automobil loads from Dryden arrived, besides many from Barclay and other parts. The dance wag held in honour of Miss D. Cridge the retiring school teacher, who be- sides her excellent work with the children, has been prominent in the social life of the community. An interesting ceremony during the evening was the presentation to Miss Cridge of a dressing case, with ivory bracket mirror, brush, &ec., suitably engraved with her initials, the joint gift of the women's social club and the school children in testimony to the esteem in which she is held. One of the principal items on the programme, and one which aroused a sreat deal of interest, was the waltz contest, in which a great number took part to the embarrassment of the judges, E.
