THE DRYDEN OBSERVER An Open Letter As President of the Dryden Agri- cultural Society, 1 feel that the year 1926 has been a very successful one. !Some new features have been added and by adding more new ones I feel that our Agricultural Society may become a great benefit to both the town and the surrounding district. ' : See us For-- Like Paul we can forget things behind SPECIAL TRAINS = THROUGH TOURIST SLEEPERS : ? ns while we press on towards the goal snd when death comes We still look forward not enly fearlessly but with a sure and certain hope of a greater and hetter life to come. So we confidently hope to forget and forgive those who have tried to be a stumbling block in cur Society and the progress of our country. Onto the pure all things are pure; but onto them that are defiled and unbelieving, is nothing pure but tven their mind and conscience is defil- ed if evil is contagious, so alse is good. No man can stand alone. We must be knit together. Man does great j oe things by words spoken and written, and by good deeds and the world builds a monument to his honor. Let us, one and all bury our worldly selfishness and work together to make the place in which we live a brighter, happier and better place to live in. The Kenora District in the past has never received its fair share of government assistance; development and road buildings have been seriously neglected, but it is felt that Mr Earngey will not only tell of the needs of the towns and its settlers but will demand from the Government the assistance that is justly coming to the District, and see that the many promises made by Ministers in the past are at once fulfilled. From Eastern papers now arriving everything indicates the return of the Government with as great a majority as at dissolution, when it controlled 16 supporters out of a House of 101 sitting members. Mr Farngey in his election address in another column of this paper, comes out holdy like his leader, and informs the electors of this district that he is in full accord with the policy of the Ton. G.
