Collison, Publisher ---- To the Editor: DRYDEN OBSERVER Dear Editor -- It is rumoured in town, that a second Boy Scout Troop will shortly be formed. If that is true, I am glad. I have been hopinig for a long time for it to happen. People of Dryden. wake up, and help you "Loecal Asso- ciation" and Troop Committees to make these troops the smart- est troop in the Dominion. The Girl Guides have made wonder- ful progress since their inaugur- ation in May 1930. The Scouts must have gained success or else there would be no talk of | a second troop. I believe that more and more influential bus- iness people of Dryden are mak- ing enquiries as to how they can help this movement spread in the district. It is one of the best methods of stopping future wars. Train the boys to help each other and look after the less fortunate. The Boy Scouts of Canada have been looking after thousands of new settlers children each Christmas. Their deeds of kindness performed daily cannot be counted. Some > ERE SS) | W/ E DIDN'T name it the "Miracle" chassis. The latest Rogers chassis esrned that name by its performance. This chassis is used in the Rogers models 617 and 620. It is the smaller of the two Rogers chassis, but in performance it does a big job. It brings in local reception smoothly and pleasingly. It brings in distant stations that most other radios do not get at all. You can buy the Rogers model illustrated for only $139. Make a small down payment, if you wish, and pay the balance on easy monthly terms. This is an extraordinary radio. We make broad claims for it because experience has shown us it will not disappoint you. And it's the famous genuine Rogers, made in Canada. . TUNE IN--SUNDAY EVENINGS 9.30 p.m. ES. T.
