Someone said a parson never works. He should have been watching ithe Rev. Clarke Tuesday night. I-wonder why the Columnist took up curling. Jack says he is good at it. Sandy and Jock were slipping them in on Monday night, they must have learned the game where they swoop {it up. } The score board showed a veal curling game, one night this week. It looked like cricket. Score 15-17 record for Dryden. - Mrs. Taylor, Vermilion Bay, was a visitor to Dryden this week. ! | MINNITAKI Machin Elections Messrs. Messrs. Brown and Berg are hoth new to Municipal work. Mr. Brown is a well known resident of Eagle River of many years and until now has not taken an active interest: in Municipal affairs but has kept in touch, and has aided the community jin an unofficial way many times, Mr. Berg is an old resident | of Vermilion Bay and has been section foreman there for at least twenty vears. Vermilion Bay has the mis- fortune to be separated from the rest of Machin Municipality by the un- organized township of Mutrie and has always seemed more or less isolated, but with Mr. Berg as representative, the first they have had, this matter should be, overcome and 'the Bay" be in closer touch. : Minnitakl, the east end of Machin, has no representative this year. Governing a Municipality of such extensions--four townships--is no light matter in ordinary times, and in such times as these, it is rather burden- some and it is the best of luck that we wish Reeve Anderson and his Council. Every ratepayer is expected to co- operate with his Council for the bene- fit of the Municipality and said rate- payers. DINORWIC : By T.
