Age 97; died in Scottsdale AZ after long struggle with Alzheimer's disease; resident of Winnetka IL for nearly 60 years; born in Montreal, Canada, youngest of six children, to Matthew Joseph Kearns and Caroline Drumm Kearns; raised in Montreal, graduated from Sacred Heart Convent H.S. (attended New Trier H.S. her junior year); married in 1936; after Jim served as lieutenant commander in U.S. Navy during WWII, moved to Northbrook, helped with his company, Ventfabrics Inc.; moved to Winnetka in 1956; a devout Catholic, member of St. Norbert's Catholic Church in Northbrook, Saints Faith, Hope & Charity Church in Winnetka, St. Philip the Apostle parish in Northfield and St. Joseph's Church in Phoenix; preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Jim in April 1990, four sisters, Connie, Catherine, Carol and Alicia, and a brother, Richard
