Age 74; entered Jesuit Order in Milford OH in 1942; 1948 earned bachelor's degree in classics and masters of arts degree in Latin at Loyola U. Chicago, 1951 Ph.L. from West Baden College in Ohio; 1948-51 taught Latin and Greek at St. Xavier H.S. in Cincinnati; ordained in 1955, took Last Vows at Loyola Academy in 1959; 1960 master's degree in education from Xavier U.; joined Loyola Academy in 1957 as a classics teacher, taught Latin most of 36-year tenure, appointed assistant principal in 1958, moved into guidance office in 1973; 1990 guidance counselor and football coach at Lexington Catholic School in Kentucky; retired due to illness in May 1998; preceded in death by his sister, Ann (late William) Hamilton, and a niece, Joanne Loechl
