Age 88; born in Chicago to Jewel and Hugo Beyer; 1940 graduate of Lake Forest H.S., attended Havard College; joined U.S. Army during WWII; finished college after war, 1949 graduate of Harvard Law School; practiced law in Washington D.C. with Home Loan Bank Board, worked for U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Health and in office of chief counsel of Internal Revenue Service; 1963 returned to Chicago, practiced as tax attorney with Hubachek & Kelly, later with Tenney & Bentley; 1977-78 lecturer in law at Loyola U. School of Law, authored columns on tax law for Physicians Management and for Dental Economics; served as arbitrator for AAA and Circuit Court of Cook County, 1994 retired; member of American, Federal and Chicago Bar Associations, University Club of Chicago and Westmoreland Country Club; enjoyed tennis, squash and sailing; preceded in death by his son, Gordon and two brothers, Fred and Gordon - Date of Publication
