Survived by: sons, Bruce (Editor of the Evanston Review) and Richard; five grandchildren and a brother, Milton Clorfene.
Former Judge Irwin B. Clorfene died at Weiss Memorial hospital at the age of 84. Mr. Clorfene was a Cook County circuit court judge from 1943 to 1952, and an assistant state's attorney from 1932 until his appointment to the bench. He graduated from Kent College of Law and had his own practice in Los Angeles from 1954 to 1960. He had been living in Chicago in the years before his death. Mr. Clorfene was a football coach at a military academy in Missouri; and a teacher of business and commerce law in Chicago colleges from 1918 to 1932. The family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
