Age 82; born at Evanston Hospital to Finlay and Lillian Gillies; 1946 graduate of Evanston Township H.S.; attended 1 year at Ripon College in Ripon WI, studied nurses training at Evanston Hospital, graduated in 1950; worked at area hospitals, mostly Evanston Hospital & enjoyed work as a private duty nurse; 1969 married at St. Paul's Lutheran Church (place of her baptism, confirmation, choir singing & funeral); enjoyed fishing, archery, making model airplanes, camping, farm shows, state & county agricultural fairs; 1990 retired from nursing & played saxophone for New Horizon Band (band of seniors 55+)
