Age 85; born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; after graduating with honors from U. of British Columbia, left for graduate work in Berkeley, CA; married an economics professor in 1948, moved to Manhattan, KS in 1952 and to Evanston in 1967; an academic researcher, editor and writer, Cub and Girl Scout leader; taught statistics at U. of IL Chicago Circle Campus, started the Nutrition for Optimal Health Association in the mid 1970s and edited the newsletter for 20+ years, active in League of Women Voters, participated in environmental organizations including Talking Farm, Inter-Religious Sustainability Circle and Dr. Green Sanctuary committee at Unitarian Church of Evanston; 2003 received Lifetime achievement award from Beyond Pesticides and 2008 received Leadership in Sustainability Award; preceded in death by her husband, Walter - Date of Publication
