Age 90; born in Denver and grew up in Canada; 1933 graduate of McGill U. in Montreal; enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942, flew bombing missions over Germany as navigator of a B-17, shot down over Belgium, captured in Lille, France and spent remainder of WWII in German prison camps; married in 1945, settled in Evanston, moved to Glenview in 1948; founded and operated an independent insurance agency with offices in Glenview and Park Ridge until retirement in 1984; member of the Glenview Community Church, 35-year member of Glenview Rotary, served on School Board caucus, with Little League and as a Scout leader - Date of Publication
