Age 84; born in Milwaukee WI and grew up in Chicago and Wilmette IL; 1943 graduate of New Trier H.S. and attended Northwestern U., wrestled and member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity; 1944 enrolled at U.S. Merchant Marine Academy on Long Island at Kings Point NY; 1944-45 served on U.S. Army Transport Santa Cruz in the South Pacific; 1946 graduated in Engineering (Steam & Diesel), Commissioned Ensign in U.S.N.R.; B.S. and M.S. degrees at U. of Cincinnati; 1955 M.D. from U. of Cincinnati, Collge of Medicine; interned at Cook County Hospital, specialized in Radiology; resident at Veterans Administration Research and Presbyterian-St. Luke's Hospitals in Chicago; 1960 Board Certified Radiologist and Diplomat of the American Board of Radiology; 1959-1995 attending physician, radiologist and radiation oncologist at Lutheran General Hospital and Alexian Brothers Hospital; member of The Church of the Holy Comforter in Kenilworth and St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Steamboat Springs CO; enjoyed small boat sailing on Lake Michigan, coaching ice hockey in Wilmette, snow skiing in Colorado and golfing everywhere
