Changed last name to great-great-grandmother's, Elizabeth Henderson Kinkead (1844-1888) of Hawkin's County TN; grew up in Washington D.C., Delaware and central Gulf coast of Florida; excelled scholastically/won Westinghouse Science Scholarship in high school; graduate of Duke U. in Durham NC and worked at medical center; lived in Syracuse NY, New York City, Evanston and Winnetka IL; worked as medical transcriptionist and as personal assistant to Robert Joffrey, founder of the Joffrey Ballet; cared for parents living in Florida; married a friend she had known since age 15 in 1999, edited his writings and supervised their wooded property's landscaping; received terminal diagnosis in October 2009 of primary fallopian tube carcinoma; requested her body be donated to Northwestern U. Feinberg School of Medicine; preceded in death by her father, Carl Green in May 2011
