Born in Niles Center IL. Won Cook County spelling bee in 1932. Worked as Red Cross (gray lady( after World War II and met future husband while he was recovering from four years of internment as Japanese prisoner of war. Lived in Glenview IL for 53 years. Founding member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Settled in Glenview IL in 1949 and moved to Riverside CA in 2002. Worked as office clerk and volunteered at Chicago Botanic Garden. Funeral at Eden Lutheran Church in Riverside CA on Nov. 2, 2016. - Date of Publication
