Age 84; born in Washington, D.C. to Earl and Mary Easton Godwin and grew up on Chicago's North Side and in Evanston; graduate of Evanston Township H.S., studied music and voice at Lawrence U. in Appleton, Wisconsin and Northwestern U.; in mid-1940s appeared on Broadway in NYC; married in 1949 and raised a family in Evanston, Skokie and Northfield; won the coloratura soprano division in the Chicagoland Music Festival in 1957, choir member at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Evanston, member of the Opera-tunists in the 1970s and 80s, performed with the Papai Players, and member of the Evanston Music Club; preceded in death by her husband Frank - Date of Publication
