Age 90; resident of Glenview IL; fifth generation Chicagoan, born in Evanston to John Rice Reilly and Anna Dunham Reilly (great-great-grandfather built 1st theatre in Chicago in 1847, mayor of Chicago from 1865-69, elected to Congress in 1872 representing 1st district), youngest of five children, raised in Winnetka; graduated from New Trier H.S. in 1941; attended Northwestern U.'s Technical Institute (now McCormick School of Engineering) from 1941-43 and joined its Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps; commissioned in 1944, served as lieutenant aboard USS Healy in Pacific from 1944-46; graduated from Northwestern U. with degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1947; married November 22, 1947 in Paris KY; began work in 1947 for Signode Corporation, retired in 1978; founded Robert Reilly & Associates; preceded in death by his wife, Martha (Boonie( in 2006 - Date of Publication
