Spencer on Chicago's northwest side since 1910); left Georgetown U. to enlist in U.S. Navy during WWII, decorated for service on USS Washington, USS N. Carolina and USS S. Dakota; graduated in business from Loyola U. of Chicago; marketed his automatic parking gate invention through his company, Spencer Car-Parker Corp.; built a chain of bowling centers in Illinois, Wisconsin and Missouri; purchased Capitol Interiors Inc. in 1989, served as chairman
