Jeanette Marie Stanhaus, aka Jeanie, Jette, and Jean was 66 years old. She was predeceased by her father, Wilfred ((Stan() Stanhaus. Jeanette was a wonderful daughter and loyal friend. She was admired for her creativity, energy and commitment to doing good work on earth. Jeanette was born in Chicago, and grew up in Glenview, a northwest suburb of Chicago. She attended high school at Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart, Lake Forest, IL. She attended Marymount College in Tarrytown, NY for two years, then trnasferred to and graduated from, Northwestern University in Evanston, IL with a BA in English Literature and Philosophy. She completed her formal education at The University of Chicago with an MA in English Literature. Jeanette was a gifted athlete and won many tournaments throughout her life in golf, platform tennis and tennis. Her first career was in advertising and public relations, where she stared her own firm at age 25, and excelled in representing clients from around theworld. Having achieved extraordinary success with her own firm, Jeanette was able to retire from this business after 20 years at age 45, and devoted her life to other creative endeavors. For the past 20 years, she made her home in Santa Fe, and turned her attention to writing. She authored several books, including a work entitled (Wisdom of the Elders( or (Benevolent Capitalists( and (In Times of Trouble(. Jeanette was intellectually and spiritually curious, adventurous and always exhibited a strong commitment to justice. Throughout her life, she emulated the integrity and characteristics shown to her by her late father, Stan. She learned how to be competitive for the right reasons, and focus her ambition towards ultimately serving the needs of others. Jeanette leaves behind hundreds of friends, her siblings, extended family and her dear mother Mary, whom she loved very much. Jeanette lived a life of deep compassion, creativity and spiritual awareness. Her diligence and hard work, as well as her dreams, hope and love will be missed by many. Please remember Jeanette by doing good work a kind deed, or conversing with angles. A memorial service will be held on August 11, 2015 at The Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, on the corner of Guadalupe and Agua Fria Streets in Santa Fe, NM, with the recitation of the Rosary beginning at 9 am, followed by a Mass at 10 am.
