Age 84; lifelong resident of Winnetka IL; born in Evanston to Edgar and Harriet (nee Rew) Stanton; attended New Trier H.S., Harris School and Hotchkiss School; graduated in 1928 with a degree in Greek from Yale College, and from Yale Architectural School in 1935 with a degree in architecture; attended Ecole des Beaux Arts Americaine at Fontainebleau, France; specialized in residential alterations on the North Shore from 1935-89; served as officer in Chicago District office in U.S. Army Corps of Engineers from 1942-46; director of Eversharp Inc. from 1941-62 and Belden Manufacturing Company of Geneva from 1949-80; served on Winnetka Zoning Board of Appeals from 1948-54; taught a trimester course in architecture at North Shore from 1972-78; upper boys' tennis coach from 1972-85 and girls' coach from 1974-85 - Date of Publication
