He was born in Chicago. He passed away in his home. He formerly lived in Chicago and Skokie. He was married to his wife, Ardrue, for 68 years. He was preceded in death by his brother Milton, KIA, WWII, his father Stephen, mother Lillian, sister Geraldine, and brother Gerald. Ken proudly served during World War II as a US Marine, Second Division. He fought on the islands of Tarawa, Saipan and Tinian. He also served during the Korean conflict stateside in the US Air Force at Walker Air Force Base, Roswell, NM. Ken served for 30 years as a police officer for the Village of Skokie, achieving the rank of Lieutenant. He was also an usher for many years at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Glenview. Visitation and funeral mass were held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Glenview, IL, on May 21, 2015. Funeral home: NH Scott & Hanekamp Funeral Home, 1240 Waukegan Rd, Glenview IL 60025, 847-998-1020.
