Died: Saturday while on duty fighting a restaurant fire in Chicago. Two other firemen were killed and 28 injured when the roof of the building collapsed.
Employment: a member of Engine No. 5 C.F.D.; a fireman since 1964. A member of F.D.R. Post No. 923, Chicago Fire Fighters, American Legion, 40 and 8 Club and the Elks Club of Des Plaines.
Survived by: widow, Mary; a son, James, a daughter, Mary Jane; his father, Arthur; a sister, Helen Skibble; and one brother, Edward.
Funeral: Mass celebrated Tuesday at St. Catherine Laboure. Arrangements were handled by Colonial Funeral Home, Chicago.
