Survived by: his sister, Mathilda Mompier of Glenview is the sole survivor of a family of seven children.
Preceding in death: his sisters, Bertha Meier and Clara Buhrke, and brothers, William, Fred and August Butzow.
Also Surviving: many nieces and nephews, including Glenview Postmaster Edward Butzow and the immediate former postmaster, Bob Buhrke.
Funeral: The Rev. Richard G. Maassel conducted service Monday afternoon in Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Cemetery: Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines.
