Education: attended high school at Holy Angels High School in Sidney, Ohio, and graduated from Blume High School in Wapakoneta. He entered the Society of Jesus in 1936.
Member of the Jesuit Community at Loyola Academy in Wilmette.
He had served as Sacristan and Guest Master at Loyola Academy since 1970. Prior to coming to Loyola Academy, he had worked in various capacities in Jesuit seminaries.
Died: May 10.
Survived by: a brother, Bernard Schumann of London, Ohio.
Funeral: Mass of the Resurrection celebrated May 12 at Loyola Academy, the Rev. R. Michael Brophy, S.J., Superior of the Jesuit Community at Loyola Academy was the principal celebrant. The homilist was the Rev. Donald O'Shaughnessy, S.J.
Cemetery: All Saints, Des Plaines.
