Residence: lived 80 of her 90 years in Glenview.
Born: in Evanston. Mrs. Haupt's family, the Carl Hoffs, was one of the early settlers of the Glenview area.
Died: Aug 9. at Holy Family Hospital in Des Plaines.
One of the original organizers of the Glenview Senior Citizens Club and its first president. Her work with them culminated in her receiving a special award 10 years ago and admission into Mayor Daley's Senior Citizen Hall of Fame in Chicago.
Preceded in death by her husband Edward, who was the greens keeper at the Glenview Golf Club for 40 years, as well as one son, Richard J.;
Survived by: three daughters, Mrs. Julia (Charles) Kemnitz of Glenview, Mrs. Carol (Frederick) White of Rome, N.Y., and Mrs. Corinne (Fred) Hagedorn of Atlanta, Ga.; two sons, Paul E. and Leonard R. Haupt, both of Glenview; 17 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Services held Aug 12 at the William H. Scott Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Robert Alward of the Glenview Community Church officiating.
