Description
This sepia-toned photograph shows a large group of men, women, and children posing on the steps of the Park House Hotel. In the top right-hand section of the photograph, there is a person posing on the balcony of the hotel. The hotel had several steps, at least seven, leading up to the front porch and a large awning which extended from the bottom of the second story balcony to the end of the porch. This awning had the name Park House printed on it. This photograph is on a backing board with the text that reads, "J.H. Ford, Views from Grimsby Park, Photographer".
Notes
Park House Hotel was built in 1875. It had a jail cell in the basement.
