HARVEY The sport world mourns the loss of Geo. L.,-(Tex) Rickard who was buried in New York yesterday, following his death at Miami on Sunday. His life story was justa succession of adventures, from the time he left his home on the plains of Texas, through years in the Yukon and Nevada gold fields, to his taking charge of the great Madison Square Garden in New York. IRA HUNTER Following an illness of almost ayear, the death took place on Saturday, January 5th, in Engle- hart Hospital, of Mrs. Ira Hun- ter, at the age of thirty-five years , The decesaed lady, previous to! her marriage was Miss Myrtle Storing of Almonte. For a number_of years after her marriage, she residéd in Hail- eybury, but moved to Charlton about three years ago, and in the! early part of last year moved to Englehart, where Mr. Hunter is employed. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband and six sons: Claude aged 13; Harry, aged 11, Freddy, 9, Billy, 7, Bert, 5, David, 3. Also surviving is her mother, Mrs. Gaudette, of Nellie Lake, and four step-sisters and one step-brother. The funeral was held on Mon- day afternoon, service being held by the Anglican Church minister and interment being:made at En- glehart.
