The discussions took place prior to and during the regular meeting of the Cobalt town council, and the earlier exchanges which were informal and not re- garded as official, were partici- pated in by members of the school board, present in strength on in- vitation. As a result of this meeting, Coleman council retired to their own office and debated the matter among themselves, re- turning to the town hall when the town council had completed all its other business. It soon deyeloped that both sides appear-| ed/firmly determined to adhere to their respective viewpoints, and it seemed, until the sugges- tion finally adopted was made, that the section would be split at the end of the present year.
