BIRD HOUSE BUILDERS ASKED TO REPORT WHEN HOUSES ARE OCCUPIED In connection with the recent bird- house contest, sponsored by the Hail- eybury Rotary Club; the builders are asked to report when the houses are occupied during the spring and sum- mer. Boys and girls should place the houses in. suitable locations in their gardens or yards to get the best re- sults and, when any of the feathered songsters take up their residence, re- port the fact, stating the species of birds, to The Haileyburian. We will be glad to pass on the information to the Rotary Club. Those who are taking this means of making the town more attractive should bear in mind the depredations of cats among the feathered friends and try to place the houses. where the marauders cannot reach them: It might even be possible to teach 4 pet cat to leave the birds alone, but this is difficult. Each bird lover will no doubt use the best means in his or her power to prevent damage from this source. 1 " OBITUARY | e-erore Mrs. Samuel Cowan The death of Mrs. Samuel Cowan, of Gardiner, north of Cochrane, took place in St. Mary's on the Lake Sanatorium, Hailey- bury, on Tuesday, April 25th.
