The date is May 7th, 1933, named by Wm. Bulger, who for a good many years past has acted as the official referee of the contest. Eight of the lucky guessers are residents of Hailey- bury, the majority regular sub- scribers to the paper. Three of the other four live in Cobalt, and the twelfth is L. W. Herron of Noranda, Quebec, who is a form- er resident of this district. The list follows: Mrs. K. M. Stephen, Mrs. Geo. Holmes, Miss Rose Sauve, Mrs. F. M. Smith, Miss Kathleen Jen- kins, F. C. Fishley, A. Best and D. R. Murray, all of Haileybury; Mrs. H. Astels,, Miss B. H. John- son and Sam Ramsay of Cobalt; L. W. Herron of Noranda.
