Last week the total num- ber of cases reported was over 40, the majority in the city itself, with others from various parts uf the district. The disease proved fatal in one case from the Mani- toulin Island, the patient being a man of 23 years. Schools have been closed in some sections. re) New Liskeard Fair The New Liskeard Fall Fair was held last week in the curling and skating rinks and, while not} as large as a few years ago, was a pretty good show.
