Arrangements are being made for teachers and it is expected that three classes in English and one in French will be organized. 'O- Chinaman to Hang Here John Wah, Chinese resident of Timmins, was convicted of mur- der last week at Cochrane assizes before Mr. Justice Hogg, and sen- tenced to hang at Haileybury on January 8th next. The victim was Woon Hong, a fellow coun-} tryman of Wah, and it was char- gea that the latter had used a} knife in an affray on November 4th last year. Dr. E. R. Frankish medico-legal expert from Toron- to, was a witness at the trial. The jury recommended mercy, but the sentence of capital pun- ishment followed.
