The new machine is piloted by Cap- tain Leigh Capreol, well known throughout the Dominion, and hhas been taken to Hudson for the carrying of freight and pas- sengers into Patricia district. The Hennessy brothers haye re- cently taken a contract for build- ing a road from Doghole Bay, on Lake St. Joseph to Patricia and -will use the plane in their opera- tions there. The machine is a new Norse- aman, built by the Noorduyn Air- craft Limited in Montreal, and has had a few trial flights only, including one to Rouyn and back to the city. From Montreal it was flown to Toronto and from there to Haileybury on Sunday afternoon, the trip occupying two and one-half hours. It has room for ten passengers, and will carry a ton of freight under good flying conditions, it is claimed. The tanks hold 105 gallons of gasoline, sufficient for five hours at a stretch, and it has a cruising speed of 125 miles per hour. The new plane is silver colored and presents a striking appear- ance in the air. A good many local residents had a view of it while in the airport, which pre-) sented a busy aspect on Monday,| with three planes in at once. The other two were Dominion Sky-| ways machines, one of them the regular plane operating between, here and Mud Lake and the other| making a special call from the, base at Rouyn.
