What was this thing that was holding these men? On making a little enquiry and on showing some interest in| the matter I was asked to takea seat, which I gladly did. It prov- ed to be a meeting of the Board of Porectors of our local Horti- culturat Society. They were re- counting their efforts for the past year and discussing plans for the future. Their work had heen carried on so quietly, that the average citi- zen would hardly guess that there was anything doing, but there was an underlying spirit of en- thusiasm, and a, keen, desire to serve their community, that was bound to produce results. When the Society was reorgan- ized on May 4th last it appeared that it was too fate in the year to accomptish much. This list will be published in the Ontario Gazette January 2nd, February 6th and March 6th, 1937, and in default of payment of taxes and costs the lands will be sold for taxes. At the adjourned sale, if any, it is the intention of the School Board of Savard Township Con- solidated School Section to pur- chase any lands if the prices of- fered are less than the taxes and costs, according to R.S.O. 1927. Bourlamaque How far from drudgery THIS is! | Many women get so used to the weekly grind of washing and ironing they become dulled to the drudgery involved in old-fashioned methods. The next time you do the weekly ironing, keep a time record of how many hours it takes you. Is it two hours, three, four--or all day or more? No matter whether it is two hours or the better part of two days, just consider this: An electric ironer will save you two-thirds of the time, and the third you spend will be oh, so much easier than any ironing you have ever done by hand. And a modern electric ironer is not complicated, either. * You learn to use it quickly, it does a fine job, even on fussy pieces, it costs less than 3c an hour, and can be bought on easy terms. It takes minutes--not hours--to do the entire ironing.
