The funeral was held yesterday |afternoon, from the family home on Probyn Street, where the ser- vices were conducted by Rev. W. A. Beecroft, who spoke words of comfort to the sorrowing hus- band and family, all of whom were present. The pallbearers, all old friends, were Messrs. W. S. Blackwall, R. Jenkins, John A. McKinnon, S. Norfolk, Chas Aus- tin, and F. Herron, the latter of New Liskeard. Interment was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. There was a large gathering present for the funeral service and a great profusion of floral tributes to tes- tify to the esteem in which Mrs. Robb was held in this community. WILLIAM MORCOM A resident of Giroux Lake for more than 20 years, Richard Morcom died on Thursday last at the Toronto General Hospital, where he had been for some weeks a patient. He was in his 52nd year and was a native of St. Stephen, Cornwall, England, and a miner during the greater part of his life. He had lived at Giroux Lake since 1913, with the exception of a year which he spent in Muskoka. The funeral was held on Monday afternoon, with Rey. E. Gilmour Smith and Mr. H. W. Rowdon conducting the services and interment was in Silverland Cemetery, Cobalt. Mr. Morcim is survived by his widow and two daughters, Mrs. J. A. MacDonald, Kirkland Lake, and Miss Winnifred at home, and three brothers and one sister. A. Savel of Cartier, Ont., became the bride of Mr. Clifford Foster Low- ery, son of Mrs. Lowery of Hail- eybury, and the late Mr. W. R. Lowery of Cobalt. The church was beautifully decorated for the occasion and the ceremony was performed by Rev. W. A. Bee- croft, with Mr. R. H. Unwin playing the wedding music. The bride, who is a graduate of in marriage by Mr. George Klein and wore a gown of powder blue velvet, cut on Princess lines and with a slight train, the jacket having long sleeves puffed at the elbows. She wore a matching turban hat with veil and match- ing shoes and carried an arm bou- quet of calla. lilies with a shower of lily- of-the-valley, and wore the groom's gift, a string of pearls. Mrs. Klein, sister of the bride- groom, wearing Sal Rosa taffeta, was matron of honor, and Mrs.. James McWhirter, in candlelight taffeta, was the bridesmaid. Both their gowns were in period style, with pearl clips, and they. wore pearl Juliet caps, with matching shoes. Their nosegays were of Talisman roses. The groomsman was Mr. Wil- liam Durrell of New Liskeard, and Mr. F. N. McNally, North Bay, Mr. R.A. Murphy, Mr.James McWhirter and Mr. Terence Smith of Haileybury, were ushers. A. reception was held for the wedding party, following the ceremony, at the home of the groom's mother, where Mrs. Low- ery received in a gown of silver and. wood violet lame, cut on Princess lines and with a slight train, with matching velvet tur- ban and silver shoes. She wore a corsage of mauve orchids and the reception rooms were decorated with spring flowers. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Lowery left on the evening train for New York, from where they sailed yesterday for the West Indies to spend their honeymoon. Mrs. Lowery travelled in a dress of rust tone sheer wool, trimmed in brown, with a brown hat, shoes and'accessories and a brown coat with squirrel collar. Mr. and Mrs. Lowery will make their home in Haileybury when they return from their honey- moon. i At the inaugural meeting of the MHaileybury Public School Board last week, A. G.
