Mr. Victor Reed, Jr., left on Monday for a trip to Southern Ontario, Mr. Arnold Dempster is on a business trip to Sault Ste Marie this week, Miss "Babe'" Dupuis left at the week-end for a holiday in Hearst and Rouyn, Que. Mrs, T. Serk left on Monday for Hamilton, to be with her daughter, who is very ill. Mrs. G. H. Killborne of Van- couver and Trail, B.C., is visiting Mrs. J. M. Powelson. Miss Jean Gordon is in town, visiting her sister, Mrs. Arthur Stollery and Mr, Stolery. Mrs. Ferguson met them at Mattawa and accompanied them the remainder of the way Former Haileybury Lady Pays Visit to Relatives Mr. and Mrs. G. V. Blon visited Mrs .Blon's aunt and uncle, Mr and Mrs, Bert Terrill early this month. Mrs. Blon is the former Clarice Hooper, whose family at one time lived in Haileybury and where she received her early edu- action. The couple motored from their home in Minneapolis to Hailey- bury to visit their relatives, whom they have not seen in a number of years, returning to their Min- nesota home after couple of days of reminescing about old friends. CLEMENT GRENON Clement Grenon, whose family have lived in Haileybury for the past couple of years, died Thursday, July 5th, 1951, in Mi- sericordia Hospital at the age of 47 years. Mr. Grenon was an employee fi of the hospital during the time of his residence here, coming from Lorrainville, Que. The funeral was held on Mon- day, July 9th to Holy Cross Church and interment was made in the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
