Cumming entertained at tea on Friday: April 24th for Mrs, Scriver and members of the L.0.D.E. Che annual Ladies' Night of the Haileybury Masonic Lodge will be held on Friday evening at 7.30 in the banquet hall of the Masonic Temple. There will be music by the Leslie Bell Singers and an orchestra under Howard Cable; a documentary by Joseph Schull about the Salva- tion Army in Canada 70 years ago and its advances since then and brief remarks by Claire Wal lace and Commissioner William R. Dalziel. The Tennis Club will meet on Monday, May 5th, at 7.30 p.m.in the Legion Hall. Films on tennis will_be shown and everyone is welcome, The Rummage Sale under the auspices of the St. Paul's W.A will be held on Friday, May 2nd at 9.00. Although the recent fire in the hall dida good deal of dam- age, workers have been busy all week putting it in order, Contrary to any reports you may hear, the sale will be as planned in the parish hall. On Sunday afternoon, about 15 Northery Ski Club members from Cobalt, Haileybury and New Lis- keard rolled up their sleeves and got to work cleaning up the de- bris at the Club, in preparation for re-building. Mr. A. Speicher is in charge of the new project and the walls are going up now with material brought in from the surrounding areas. The ex- ecutive urges all hands on deck to help on Saturday,and Sunday afternoons. Donations of mater- ial and labor would be greatly ap- preciated. Meantime, the Build- ing Fund is coming along nicely and the Club wishes to thank all those who have contributed so far.
