Mawhinney is home after spending the winter with her family in Timmins and En- gilehart. Doran and her son, 'Jimmy have returned from Timmins where they were visiting with Mrs. Doran's mother, Mrs K. Martin. Mrs. P. G. Valentine returned home last week-end from Kirk- land Lake, where she was visit- ing with her son, H. M. Valetnine and family for the past two weeks Mr. and Mrs. W.R. Garbutt have returned from Orillia. While there, they were guests at a ban- quet given by the Legion Ladies Auxiliary. In recognition of her twenty-five year membership in the organization, Mrs. was presented with a 25- year pin. Mr. and Mrs. William Farmer have returned home from Toronto where Mr. Farmer has been a patient in Snnyubrook Hospital] for the past four months. Mrs. N. Austin, the District Deputy President of the Rebekah Assembly, paid her official visit to Lakeside Rebekah Lodgte, New Liskeard on Thursday evening On Friday evening she visited the Northern Beacon Lodge in En- glehart. | She was accompanied by several Haileybery sisters. Alex MacLean leaves this week for Rochester, N.Y. (the photo- graphic centre of the world) where he will attend the annual photographic convention. Enroute home, he will' visit with his daughter, Miss Joyce MacLean of Hamilton, who leaves shortly by air for Mexico City for a holi- day tour of Mexico. Don- ald Arkwright officiating, the marriage was solemnized on Saturday afternoon, Apirl 3rd at three o'clock of Miss Marjoric Mae Tulloch, daugther of Mr and Mrs. Thomas Tulloch of Haileybury to Mr. Thomas Max Dayman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur W. Dayman of Dunnvill: Ontario. Mr. Lindsay Jelly was the or- ganist and the soloist was Miss Lois Hertzberger. Given in marriage by her fath- er, the bride chose a graceful gown of French lace over satin. The skirt was fashioned with sunburst pleated panels with the pleated theme carried out in the jacket finished with lily point Condensed Ads sleeves. veil was caught up to a matching headdress. She carried a cascade of gardenias and lily of the val- ley. The bride's attendants were her sisters Miss Glenna Tulloch who was maid of honor, Miss Jean Tulloch, a. bridemaid and Miss Mary Dayman, a sister « the groom, bridesmaid. With their waltz length dresses of green mist nylon tulle over faille affeta, they wore silver metallic lace jackets and carried bouquets of roses and carnations. William Dayman was his bro- ther's best man and the ushers were Arthur Dayman Jr. and Hugh Greenis, A reception was held in the Church Reception Room with the bride's mother receiving in a gown of delphinium blue novelty taffeta with pink accessories The groom's mother wore navy lace with pink accessories. . For travelling to New York, the bride chose a suit of navy French Repp with cranberry wine acces- sories. Her corsage' was white and wine sweetheart roses. A School of Instruction will be held in Haileybury on May 19th when it is hoped that the Presi- dent of the Rebekah Assembly Miss Emma Bothwell of Ottawa will be present.
