Chemicals . were ~ leadng 3-2 going into the sixth, when Tommy Blanchard got a single and Len Fleury a double to eventually score the tying and winning runs. Len Fleury scor- ed his third win in as many starts with the loss going to Bates. Len Mleury, as wellas being the win- ing pitcher, was also the top hit- YOUR ENGINE MAY BE 15% MORE POWERFUL THAN YOU THINK Shell Premtum Gasoline with TCP sets free captive power formerly locked-in by lead deposits No matter if your car is a cur- rent model driven only a few thousand miles or an "'old faith- ful," you can enjoy up to 15% more power. This extra power is in your engine right now but it's captive power, trapped- by the steady accumulation of lead de- posits Deposits glow red hot © In the combustion chamber, they glow red hot, igniting the - gasoline mixture ahead of time. Power works against you and not for you. This condition is called pre-ignition and is responsible for "'wild ping,"" a most severe kind of knock. When the deposits build up on your spark plugs, sometimes in as little as 2,000 miles, they cause the plugs to short-circuit. This makes your engine miss at the very time you don't want it to miss--such as when climbing a hill or passing another car. Captive power set free But now there is a way to can- cel out the trouble these deposits cause, a way that sets free this captive power. Shell scientists have discovered the unique fuel additive, TCP. Blended into Shell Premium Gasoline, it does two things for you. First, it "fire proofs" the de- . posits in the combustion cham- bers so they can't cause pre-igni- tion. Power works for you and not against you. Second, it modifies the de- posits on your spark plugs so they can fire as they should, fully and on time. The greatest gasoline development in 31 years Called the greatest gasoline development since the introduc- "tion of tetraethyl lead, Shell Pre- mium with TCP additive is the biggest sales success in petro- leum history. It is available only at Shell Dealers. GET SHELL "PREMIUM GASOLINE WITH I The Greatest Gasoline Development in 31 Years ter with three bingles. We must concede that this was a piece of luck for West Road- The last of the seventh saw the score 6-4 for North Cobalt, but with the help of a couple of errors by North Cobalt and five hits by the West Road, they were able to walk away with a 7-6 victory. This gave Len Fleury his first loss of the season; he now has a 3-1 count. _Ed Huard was the winner, his count now stands at 1-2. The hitting department was once again dominated by Ed Ram- say of the West Road with four for four. ~Ab Fleury connected twice out of three times at hat. Score by innings : W.
