At a field day held on Tuesday, August 3rd, when, surprisingy cnough it was raining, golfers enjoyed a full day with a lunch- eon at noon. In the approaching and putting, Audrey Bond was the precision expert with a score of eight while Jeane Murphy went around the clock in 26 putts. Stella Blanchette and Audrey Bond won prizes for being the best playing scrabble--we do not intend to enlarge on this be- cause we do not know what scrabble is nor have we time to find out. Last Friday, Eleanor Whitby and Ness McAulay qualified in the Jemmett. On Sunday, golfers will head for Temiskaming to take part in their annual viistors' day.
