John Metcalfe of Hailey~~ bury was born in Yorkshire, coming ot Haileybury in 1906 with his parents. He was well known in this area where he spent his life working i n the neighboring mines. He was married to the former Margaret Dellaire of Eganville, Ont. who survives him. His only son, Hector, lives in California. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. N. Howard and a brother, Joseph of Toronto. The pallbearers were E. St. Louis, George Harrison, K. La- Ronde, Jack McDonald, B. Ther- iault, Pat Connelly, Kirkland Lake. Interment was in Roman Cathole Cemetery.
