To those who have been asking "when will you have the next one?" the answer is probably some time in June. A quantity of "Pay What You Pull" books have been received and _ distrib- uted among the executive. The main prize for this will be $50.00 with five additional prizes of $10.00 each. The draw for these will be made sometime in the fall and net proceeds will be ear- marked for the annual Christmas 'party for the children of mem- bers. Arrangements haye been com- pleted for the meeting with Mr. A: Jackel. district director, and this will be held held in the Council Chambers of the Memor- ial Hall in New Liskeard on Friday, Apri] 15th. This is pri- marily for Mr. Jackel, Lands and Forests, to become acquain ed with branch managers though business concerning the Asso- ciation as a_whole will be dis- cussed- Lloyd Morrow, -- sports direc- tor. assisted by Dave Bowen. has conducted euchre parties during the winter and this way brought to a close by a parity held in the banquet room of the Memorial Hall in New Liskeard" on Friday, April Ist. Mrs. Roy Edgar won the lalies first. with the consolation going to Mrs. L. Fitzer. An unusual end to the parties was that the gent's high and low were won by Dave Bowen and Lioyd Morrow. the gentlemen who canducted the series. There were fifteen rinks from the local club with four reaching the prize bracket. in the first event, the Francis rink from New Liskeard won first over Jeff Dixon with Wild- er from Kapuskasing taking third prize and Bill Lickley of New Liskeard fourth- In the second event, Sherry of North Bay took the first, with Emerick of Englehart second, Barlow of New Liskeard third and Edéy of Haileybury fourth. The third event was won by the Patriquin rink of Haileybury with Wilson, Elk Lake second, Hurst, Haileybury third . and Ross New Liskeard fourth.
