Willis Othmer, making his first start as a pitcher, was the winner, although he had little support from the rest of the team as they made 11 errors. Keith Lathem was the starter and loser. He wa relieved in the fifth by Roger Blanchard: Willis Othmer donated to his own cause by getting two sin- gles and batting in two of the nine runs. For North Cobalt Wayne Watson with a triple and adouble and Don Davidson with adouble and single led the hit- ting.
