OBITUARY Funeral services were held yesterday for Mrs. Ab Dickson, one of Haileybury's early resid- ents. Mrs. Dickson died Monday in South Porcupine, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Stan Belanger. She was 82. Her husband, who predeceased her in 1951, was well known in the town and district as a prosp- ector and lumberman. They first came to Haileybury in 1902, landing ina pointer, and Mrs. Dickson resided here until her husband's death. Mrs. Dickson was born in Port Perry, Ont., the former Eliza- beth Smith. She married the late Mr. Dickson in 1896 in Toronto. She is survived by three daughters, Beatrice, Mrs. Will- iam Edwards of Toronto; Hazel Mrs. Harold Pethick of Toron- to; and Pearl, Mrs. Stan Bel- anger of South Porcupine. Rev- erend H. Staples 6f Haileybury Baptist Church officiated at the funeral service conducted from Tulléch's chapel in Haileybury. Interment was at Mount Plea- sant.
