On Sunday, April 29, members of the Haileybury Art Club spent an enjoyable day at Cobalt Chemicals where they were guests of the Art Group there, at a luncheon followed by paint- ing out of doors. Bake Sale And Tea A very successful bake sale and tea was held on Saturday afternoon April 28th in the basement of the United Church under the Auspies of the W.A. Mrs. J. W. Wilkinson and Mrs. M. B. Glazier received the guests. The tea table looked pretty with a lace cloth centered with red tulips and candles. Mrs. W. R. Lowery, Mrs. J. E. Grant, Mrs. A. Cooke, and Miss Muriel Rice poured tea during the afternoon. The tea was convened by Mrs. A. Hurst assisted by Mrs. R. Murphy, and Mrs, D. OBITUARY ARCHIE HARVEY Archie Harvey. employed as a clerk in the Haileybury Hotel for the past four years, died in Misericordia Hospital early Sun- day morning following an oper- ation, Mr. Harvey who was 33 years of age, was born in Pembroke and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joepsh Harvey, now of Kirk- land Lake. He is survived by his parents two brothers, Earnest of Sher- brooke, Quebec and Marcel of North Bay; and four sisters, Mrs. M. Lebeau, Mrs. B. Healey, and Mrs. M. Jadeau, all of Kirk- land Lake and Mrs. A. Ryan of Rhode Island. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning, May 2, at nine-thirty from the church of the Assumption with Father D. Jodouin celebrating mass. ~ Burial was in Kirkland Lake cemetery.
