STUDENTS AND TEACHER IN PANEL DISCUSSION An interesting part of the Haileybury Home and _ School association meeting Tuesday evening, January 21, was a dis- cussion pane] consisting of four high school students and a tea- cher-leader. Definite ideas, well expressed, showing a well-tho- ught out philosophy of life made the discussion interesting from end to end. The discussion centered around the attitudes of students toward authority, and discipline at home and in school, dates, sports and education in general, Discussing the area of guid- ance from parents, it was felt that in school iwork, parents should give as little help as pos- sible, but opinion was divided on choosing careers, from "some help", particularly if student was inclined toward something un- suitable, to "students know more about what they want to be than their parents do."
