Elk Lake, were guests of Mr. Mrs, J. P. Muftphy a former Cobalter but now of Timmins, who accompanied Mrs. Josephine Murphy and Miss Florence Mur- phy Cobalt High School to the wedding of her son, Dr. John B. Murphy and grandson of Mrs. J. Her finger tip veil of tulle illusion was arranged from a cluster of white French roses. She carried a plummage bouquet of Camelias and stephanotis. Mrs.. A. W. Bethume .was matron of honor and was gown- ed in delphenium blue faille on Empire lines with a halo of the same material, Floor length, with matching accessories and she carried a plummage bouquet of pink roses. The two junior bridesmaids Diane and Marilyn Price. were gowned in pale pink point des prit, floor length, with halo's of the same material and matching accessories. They carried nose gays of pink roses, The groomsman was A. C. Roberts, Toronto. The officiat- ing clergymen were Rev. A. C. McCollum assisted by Dr. James Muchmor. The bride was given in marri- age by her father. The ushers were Neville Wes- ton, John Bekmans, Morris Fine and Dr. A. W. Bethume, 'all of Toronto. The meeting opened with prayer followed by roll call and the minutes of. the previous meeting read by the secretary Mrs. Rita Bazinet, A letter was read from Gor- don Bazinet, S.J. asking the club to send stamps to be used for stamp collections. An interesting reading was given by Mrs, Alma Bazinet. Mrs. Marorie Killoran read a chapter from the study book en- titled The relation of the Bible to the Church. The club prize was won by Willard Miller. Lunch was sery- ed by the hostess.
