Thureday, July ord, 193: OBITUARY Darius Hogan, Senior Dies In 90th Year Darius Hogan, Senior, for- mcrly of Kazabazua, Que - ucc died in Misericordia, {{uspital, Haileybury on Sun- day June 29th. , in his 90th. ycar.-He was born in Kaza- buzua, Prov. of Quebecon November 11th,, 1868 son of the late Darius Hogan and nis wife Mary Ann Hawley. He was married in March 1505 at Ste. Cecile de Mas- ham to the late Margaret ham Conlin Who predeceas- ed him in 1954. He retired from farming in 1929 when he sold outhis interests at Kazabazua to the Gatineau Power Com- yany who then were engaged * in a huge power develop- ment on the Gatineau River. Mr. Hogan moved north to Haileybury in 1930 where he became associated with his son, Darius G. Hogan, in the retail fuel business and where he was quite ac- tive until about three years ago when his health forced him into complete retire- ment. In addition to his only son, for seven years before his death in 1927. While her health permitted Mrs. Hartley was an active member of the United church and its organizations. She was a life member of the Womens Missionary Society Survivors are one son, Ber- nard Charles Hartley of Kapuskasing and one daugh- ter, Derothy Isobel, at home Her husband, Bernard Will- iam Hartley, predeceased her on June 19th, 1941. Interment was in Mount Pleasant cemetery. Pall-bearers were H.Pic- kard, M.
