Bring Results! visiting with their parents QM AK S S S SSS S Obituary Cobalt lost one of its oldest, most respected and James Hassett who died suddenly athishome 13 1/2 Cobalt Street, on Sunday morning, August 17, aged 79 years. He had been in failing health since the Ist. of July. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hassett and was born in Ennis, County Clare, Ireland. He lived in Espanola and Sudbury and came to Cobalt in 1907. He hadbeen retired for a quite a few years after operation a taxi busi- "ness and later a grocery business.He married the former Miss Mary O'Gor- man in 1927. Mr. Hassett was a mem- ber of long standing in the Knights of Columbus, the Holy Name Society, and the Kiwanis Club. Funeral services were heldin St. Patrick's Church at10 a.m. with Rev. Father sda. \usust 2st. 19.3: T. Kavanach officiating . Burial was in the R.C. Cemetery, Haileybury. Pall-bearers were H. Ramey, Bob O'Gorman, Frank Riley, Ed. Maher, Mike Cunningham and Mr. Jim Keon. Survivors are hiswife, two sons by aprevious marriage, James of Cobalt and Harry of Timmins. A son, Michael predeceas- ed him in 1952, alsoa sister, Miss Annie Hassett and a brother, Martin Has- sett.
