Will Represent Haileybury The ladies' games in the Pro- vincial Championship Competition finished last- week-end with a rink skipped by Grace McDonough with Tess Austin, Jeannie Murphy and Dot Bailey on-with her coming out victorious over the others by win- ning all five games. They repre- sent Haileybury at North Bay on -¥ebruary 4, when they compete against other rinks from the dis- trict. The results of the games were: McFarlane from Bond; McDon- ough from McAulay; McAulay British Consols Competition Further play and results of the 'Consol games played in the men's section the past week-end were as follows: N. McAulay from Ron Moris- sette; W. Fleming from Remi Mor- issette; C. Vachon from T. Pipe; Remi Morissette from Ron Moris- sette; T. Pipe from J. McDonald; N. McAulay from C. Vachon; Ron Morissette from T. Pipe; C. Va- chon from W. Fleming. ' Ron Morissette and C. Vachon tied with four wins each so in the play off on Sunday, Ron won the game. In one end during the play, Ron's rink scored a seven ender. N. McAulay's rink won five games with one loss to T. Pipe. McAulay and Ron Morissette will play in the' Zone Consol play offs this week-end at the local rink, against rinks from New Liskeard and Temagami. Rebekah Lodge The regular meeting of Northern Light Rebekah Lodge was held in the Legion Hall on Wednesday ev- ening, January 21, with Mrs. R. McNaught, Noble Grand, presid- ing. There was a large turnout. of members and visitors. The roll call showed all officers in their chairs except. one. through illness. The different committees report- ed on the work which was very satisfactory. Initiation was performed on four candidates in a very proficient manner under the leadership of Mrs. A. Brown, Cobalt. During the initiation, Mrs. Parcher of Cobalt Lodge, sang the hymns. The new members were Mrs. Ro- bert McVittie, Mrs. Charles Flem- ing, Mrs. W. Craig and Mrs. Thomas Huff. A buffet lunch was served by the social- committee at the close of the evening. Home league Members of the Home League met at the home of Mrs.- Garnet Ross. and opened their program with the hymn, "What A Friend We Have In Jesus." This was followed by prayer led by Lieut. B. Switzer. Mrs. J. Flem- ing gave a reading, "'Omission of Sins", and Mrs. Frank Gilmour read. "Thank God To Day".
