The meeting was opened by Father R. Nixon with Mrs. E. Young. as acting president. The Bible reading was taken by Mar- ilyn McQuaid and the synopsis by Mrs. R. Fleming. A discussion fol- lowed on the month's reading. The minutes were read by Mrs. 'E. Mantle, the secretary, and adopted as correct on the motion of Mrs. T. Huff, seconded by Mrs. N.~ Abraham. The Easter supper was discus- sed. A discussion regarding the forming of a young couples group and it was decided to hold a pre- liminary meeting to see how many couples would be interested. This meeting» will be held Sunday, April 19, at 8:30 in the Parish Hall. Lunch for next month's meeting will be in charge of Mrs. D. Gallen, Mrs. George Ninacs and Miss Sue MacKay. After the meeting was adjourned by Mrs. F. Cooper, some work was done on the flannelgraph. Lunch was served by Mrs. E. Mantle, Mrs. H. Johnston and Mrs. J. Rundle. Official Visit To Rebekah Lodge Northern Light Rebekah Lodge held their regular meeting Wed- nesday evening, April ist in the Legion Hall, Haileybury with the Noble Grand, Mrs. Isa McNaught, presiding. The roll call showed several members absent through illness. Mrs. Maud Cragg, District De- puty President, made her official visit.-She was escorted in and in- troduced by Mrs. Mary MacAr- thur a Past District Deputy. A guard of Honor was formed and while retiring, each officer read a short poem and presented them, each tied to a daffodil, to Mrs. Cragg. The Noble Grand also pin- ned a corsage on her. It was announced the district meeting would be held in the Le- gion Hall, Saturday, April 11th, with a'luncheon at 1 p.m. Also a discussion took place re- garding the raising of money so a bake sale is planned for May with date and place to be announc- ed later. Mrs. Alberta Clow, on behalf of the Lodge presented the Dis- trict Deputy with a gift to which Mrs. Cragg fittingly responded with thanks and congratulated the members on their efficient work the past term and especially the officers responsible for collecting th dues and having our Lodge on the Honor Roll at Grand Lodge. This means all members are ful- ly paid up to March 31st, 1959.
